How it Works Virtual Outplacement uses a ‘Virtual Meeting Room’ to deliver our Career Guidance and Outplacement Support. Having booked your session, you will be contacted by telephone, and we will arrange a convenient time for you to receive the support. On the day, you will be sent an e-mail and invited to attend the ‘Virtual Meeting’. By following the simple instructions, you join the session, able to see and hear, and interact with our Consultant. It is that simple ! Our Consultant will ‘Host’ the meeting and you will be able to view (on your Computer) everything the Consultant is doing on theirs. This means that if you have provided them with a copy of your CV, the Consultant can open it up, and by talking to you, change and alter the document in ‘real time’ - You being able to see everything they are doing. The altered CV can later be e-mailed to you. If we are delivering an Interactive ‘Where to Look for a Job’ session, the Consultant will log onto various internet sites as part of the session. You will see exactly what they do, guiding you and demonstrating. This includes - How on-line CV Databases Work, Job Crawlers, Jobs By E-mail, etc. The technology works so well that it is almost as if the Consultant was sat beside you ‘demonstrating and guiding’. To be able to join the ‘Virtual Meeting’, you will need to install a small piece of software provided by Webex whose Virtual Meeting Rooms we use. Webex host Virtual Meetings for organisations such as: HSBC, Canon, Sun Microsystems. The software will have no adverse effect upon your PC or Laptop, and for reassurance please visit the Webex Site www.webex.com
